ENI and Gazprom sign an agreement allowing the Russian to sell the gas on the Italian market as of 2007, for a volume which will reach 3 billion m3 from 2010 (to 2035). In exchange for direct access to the Italian market, Gazprom extends until 2035 ENI gas supply contract which expired in 2017. The agreement strengthens ENI as first customer for the Russian group.
