For various reasons, proximity was instrumental in the choice of Hub Télécom by the Semmaris for the implementation of a comprehensive offering of voice and data for companies located in the administrative zone of Rungis international market which occupies a portion of the perimeter that it administers (1). "We were already working with ADP on operations that have nothing to do with the Telecom and naturally thought this company when we wanted to enrich our offer of services." "Its geographic proximity, in particular, is a huge asset," said Jerome Zoïs, Director of the Semmaris information systems.
Rungis, as big as Monaco

Presents to Roissy and Orly, a territory adjacent to that of Rungis, the subsidiary airport de Paris Telecom - ex - ADP Telecom (2) - indeed specializes in telecommunications networks airport platforms and sites with high attendance of professionals, such as Rungis and services. These characteristics made it a natural partner for the coverage of this "great industrial site. Occupying an area of 232 hectares, Rungis has a size equivalent to that of the Principality of Monaco and is the largest market in the world of fresh products. Some 1 300 companies representing a global turnover of EUR 7.1 billion are installed (3). The surface is divided between five sectors - meat products, tide, dairy products, fruit and vegetables, flowers - and an administrative area. The Semmaris teams are installed in a building and has representatives in five areas (a small dozen collaborators each time), with which it is connected permanently to the voice communications or data. Placed under the responsibility of Jérôme Zoïs, ISD has six people divided into two departments: computer science management (4) and (5) industrial computing. A person in the team is responsible for the administrative follow-up of telecoms but specifications and technical architectures, as well as the contracts are directly supported by the ISD. Jérôme Zoïs reports directly to the Chairman of Semmaris, Marc Spielrein. A fibre optic network was implemented in 1999 by the Semmaris to ensure service to the market for its own needs: it in almost all buildings (6) and supports the transfer of data with the representatives of society in the various sectors of activity. "The optical ring part of our tour, which is the central point of the market, and ensures the movement of the whole of computer flow related to our business, says Jérôme Zoïs.". In each sector, our field teams each have a dozen computers connected and connected to the central server which is located in our headquarters. In total, this loop consists of ten points of concentration and 30 access points. "The flow on this network are relating to the management of the maintenance or related to the business application development for the management of real estate (7). Other streams are related to applications used by officials and sector leaders, or of applications related to the use of low as video surveillance currents and the functioning of the different alarms. Finally, 30 toll site tracks spread over five toll stations generate streams on the optics in the same way loop that control access to buildings (entry badge). This optical loop which it owns, the Semmaris provides all of the benefits of telecoms, such as the installation of switches and other terminal equipment.
Loop 5 km optical and CPL
"We provide own supervision of the network, but it was installed by Ineo Com, a subsidiary of Suez (8), which also provides maintenance," says the ISD. In 2005, was decided the construction of a second optical loop around the administrative center is a "sixth sector" and corresponds to an area of offices consists of nine buildings interconnected among themselves. The administrative services of some 300 companies are implanted. The area also includes a series of services to staff such as banks, pharmacy, hairdressers, restaurants... "We have entrusted to Hub Telecom operation of this 5 km loop." It has been operational since the spring, says the ISD. We thus commend black fibre to Hub Télécom which offers a range comprehensive telecommunications IP, voice and data businesses served by this fibre. "Telephony offers proposed by Hub Télécom are Centrex: companies have the choice between several ranges of telephone sets (9) and several packages they are offered based on their profile to use, with packages for the international because many companies are working intensely with abroad. Offers Internet on CPL (10) are among the original axes of the offer set up by the operator, which allows networked computers using existing electrical outlets all in a building, all with great flexibility in the configuration of the Office (11). A distribution agreement, Hub Télécom also markets offer GSM of Orange. The loop ensures a flow rate of 100 Mbit/s on the area. Technical premises located in the central building is home to a switch (12) serving nine buildings, each of them
equipped with a switch on which come to connect, via copper cabling, modems Ethernet/CPL (13), one by plan (14). All of the installation account 60 modems CPL can serve more than 300 telephones or Internet access. Also assign the operation
A DHCP server (15) to ensure the administration of the whole distance, distribution of IP addresses on a network included. This project is made without tender. "The use of Hub Télécom this, in our view, a major advantage: proximity technical and business, says Jérôme Zoïs.". Commercial space was opened within the same administrative Tower, which allows any company to agree an offers voice and data at the point where she moved and be connected in the half-hour following! On the other hand, in case of problems, it must intervene very quickly, because in Rungis, without phone cannot work. We therefore needed for our clients maximum service for data and voice quality. Today, few operators offer these guarantees. Installed at Orly, Hub Télécom may deploy a team of onsite extremely quickly. "For the moment, the Semmaris continues to own the exploitation of its loop, a little wider because it is the turn of the market, is 9 km. However, the approach implemented the administrative area could be extended. Indeed, if this first stage is successful, Hub Télécom should be brought to deploy across the market, as well as the wishes to Jérôme Zoïs. "While our business is mainly for rent of real estate and related services, explains, trade of Hub Télécom is to provide telecoms." And our wish is to ensure that our customers have at their disposal the broadest possible offer in terms of services. "Hub Telecom could offer services on the market. For the exact terms, several solutions are possible. "We could rent the operator of the fibre on our loop or access, for a fee, our bags so it draws its own fibers.
Voice, Internet, mobile: for the "Orange".
For voice and Internet access, Semmaris is used to France Telecom (16). There was never tender because the amount of communications at stake is not enough to trigger a public procurement procedure. The contract signed with France Telecom is however regularly adapted, "to take account of tariff developments observed on the market." The Semmaris uses a private network that connects all the sectors and use all communications telephone within a site of his collaborators. A PABX single (17) manages communications with the outside world. "This telephone network exists since a long time." We have, on numerous occasions, reflected the possibility of the set of signals voice and data over a single network. But facilities to the fiber-optic to bring telephony remained expensive, at least until recently. "Indeed, today the voice over IP has changed considerably, and technologically as economically, and its implementation has become relevant", should be the ISD. It is therefore hard to bet that the Semmaris will migrate its voice network to the IP by using its optical loop. A development that could be done in 2007 and to register for the extension of the partnership between the Semmaris and Hub Télécom. Mobile fleet with 80 aircraft was operated by Bouygues Telecom and just be attributed to Orange at the end of a consultation. The migration is planned for September.
